Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan or Muhammad Darwis (born in Yogyakarta, August 1, 1868 - died in Yogyakarta, 23 February 1923 at the age of 54 years) is a National Hero of Indonesia. He is the fourth son of seven siblings of the K.H family. Abu Bakr. KH Abu Bakar was a prominent cleric and preacher at the Great Mosque of Yogyakarta Sultanate at the time, and the mother of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan is the daughter of H. Ibrahim who also served as head of Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate at that time.
